Full of wisdom of love and life, The Snow Queen is yet another play by Hans Christian Andersen that Panevėžys Puppet Wagon Theatre presents. The tale is an ode to friendship and love, where children as well as adults can learn about life.

02 /Established in 1986, Panevėžys PUPPET WAGON THEATRE is primarily associated with its founder Antanas Markuckis. In 1986, he set up a group of puppet theatre enthusiasts – this was the beginning of a big and hard work. Puppet Wagon Theatre is unique in Europe. The carriage pulled by horses travel around Lithuania performing in most remote villages and towns. During the tour puppeteers are spending nights in tents, schools or cultural centers. Puppet Wagon Theatre represented Lithuania in the festivals in Denmark, Estonia, Russia, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, and Sweden and was awarded various prizes. The director and stage manager A. Markuckis received the World Prize of H.K. Andersen. ‘Everything that comes from the good and the beauty remains good, and the one who creates becomes good himself or herself,’ – says theatre founder A. Markuckis. That is the credo of our theatre.
